An enjoyable 6-day tour from Marrakech to Fes through the Sahara Desert. You will visit many amazing sites, including the High Atlas Mountains, the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, and the city of Ouarzazate.
You will continue your journey to Kasbah Amridil, Dades Valley and Todgha Gorge, then to the Great Merzouga Desert, riding camels, watching the magical sunset and sunrise and spending the night in a desert camp.
Next, you will explore the traditional market in Rissani and the city of Erfoud, then visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, and the Cedar Forest, home to the Barbary macaques.
Finally, you will arrive in Fez, one of the imperial cities of Morocco, and your 6-day tour from Marrakech to Fez will end.

D1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains -Kesba telouet-kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - ouarzazate
Start your exciting 6-day Moroccan desert tour, where we will provide you with an early pick-up from the airport or your accommodation in Marrakech. Then we will drive through the magnificent High Atlas Mountains, stopping at the Tizi n Tichka pass, the highest point in the Atlas Mountains. You will enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views, which are characteristic of the Atlas Mountains, before continuing our journey to the Kasbah of Tilouat, which is considered one of the historical Kasbahs in Morocco. You will explore the Kasbah, and learn about its rich history and culture
Next, we will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a historic fortified village located in the heart of Morocco. This magnificent Kasbah has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and has been used as the backdrop for many popular films and TV series. After our visit to the Kasbah, we will move on to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert. There, we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel and prepare for the next journey.
Day 2: Ouarzazate - Skoura Kasbah Amridil - Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Rose Desert - Merzouga - Overnight in a luxury camp
After breakfast, you will explore the Atlas Studio, where famous international films were filmed, then visit the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate, considered one of the historical Kasbahs in Morocco.
Next, you will continue your journey to the Amridil Kasbah, which is characterized by the palm groves of Skoura. Then you will move to the Valley of the Roses, where the Rose Festival is held annually in May, and displays rose products from perfumes, rose water, oil and beauty products.
Your journey will pass through the Dades Valley, stopping at a place overlooking the valley to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Then you will continue to the Todra Gorge, where the course of the Todra River has carved a large valley through the mountains.
In the afternoon, you will reach the Great Merzouga Desert, riding camels in the sandy desert. You will stop to enjoy the magical sunset over the high sand dunes.
In the evening, you will arrive at the luxury desert camp, enjoying the music of Berber drums while dancing around the campfire under a wide open sky of stars. Dinner and overnight in the camp.
Day 3: Explore Merzouga area - Bedouins - Khamlia Merzouga Lake - Erg Chebbi - Palm Grove
Waking up early in the morning gives you the opportunity to admire the beautiful sunrise in the middle of the desert. After breakfast, you will return by camel to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting for you. Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga region, which has many wonderful sites, including sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, fossil areas and wonderful oases.
Your trip in Merzouga will begin with an off-road drive to visit an old kohl mine. Then you will visit the Bedouins in their hand-woven tent, and learn how they live while sipping Berber tea.
Your next destination is the village of Khamlia, where you will enjoy Gnawa music and dance performances. Its inhabitants come from sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan and Niger.
After lunch in a restaurant, you will stroll through a palm grove. Then you will drive a few kilometers to see the wild Merzouga Lake, also called the Lake of the Flamingos.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel, where you will enjoy rest and relaxation after a day of exploration and discovery.
Day 4 Merzouga Dunes - Erfoud - Midelt - Cedar Forest - Ifrane - Fez
After breakfast, we will leave the desert and explore the city of Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalt, which is still a leading commercial center in the region. You will visit the large Rissani market, which is the heart of the city’s commercial activity.
Afterwards, you will continue your journey to Erfoud, where you will visit a workshop for preparing fossilized marble. Then you will continue driving along the Ziz River, stopping to enjoy a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley.
After arriving in Midelt, have lunch and then, we will continue your journey to the Cedar Forest, which is home to the Barbary Macaques. Do not hesitate to feed them while you wander through the forest.
Then you will visit Ifrane, a city characterized by its low temperatures, snow and Alpine-style houses, which will make you feel like you are in the Switzerland of Morocco. Finally, you will arrive at your accommodation in Fez
Day 5: Guided sightseeing tour of Fez
After breakfast, we welcome you in Fez to explore the historic city of Fez, one of the imperial cities of Morocco. You will visit the gate of the Royal Palace, then the old city, characterized by its traditional architecture and lively souks. Afterwards, you will enter the old city with a local guide, to visit the prominent monuments, such as the Bou Inania Medersa, the Nejjarine Fountain, the Tanneries, and the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University. You will then visit the Jewish quarter, the Mellah, before driving to an old fort to enjoy panoramic views of the old city and then return to your Riad Fez.
Day Six: Transfer to the airport
After breakfast, we will make a final visit to the city of Fez, where you will explore its narrow streets and prominent monuments. Then we will transfer you to the airport, where our tour of the Moroccan desert, which started from Marrakech, ends.
