Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Welcome to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic center. Starting from the airport or your accommodation, we begin our city tour with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, a magnificent architectural masterpiece on the city’s western coast. Afterwards, we’ll have free time for lunch at a local restaurant. We then explore the city and visit the charming Casablanca Corniche, which offers stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. We end the day with an overnight stay at a comfortable hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat, the capital - Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we begin our journey to Rabat, the beautiful Moroccan capital. We will visit the city’s most prominent landmarks, including the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Afterwards, we will have free time for lunch. We will then proceed to the blue city of Chefchaouen, known for its stunning landscapes in the Rif Mountains. We will spend the night at a comfortable hotel in Chefchaouen, where we can enjoy the beauty of the blue city.

Day 3: Chefchaouen - Roman Ruins of Volubilis - Meknes-Fez

After breakfast, explore the beautiful blue alleys of Chefchaouen, where you can enjoy the city’s beauty. Then, head to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites in Morocco. Explore the stunning mosaics, columns, and ancient arches. Next, head to Meknes, the Ismaili capital, where you will visit Bab Mansour, the Basin of the Swani Cistern, the Royal Stables, the Granary, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Finally, head to Fez, where you will spend the night in a comfortable riad.

Day 4: Guided tour of Fez

Today is dedicated to exploring the highlights of Fez, the ancient city and cultural and religious center of Morocco. We begin the day by visiting the gate of the Royal Palace, then explore the medieval medina. We visit the Blue Doors, the Bou Inania Madrasa, the source of the carpenters, the tanneries, and the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, the oldest university in the world. Next, we visit the Jewish quarter, also known as the Mellah. In the afternoon, we head to an ancient fortress for panoramic views of the medina and the city of Fez. Finally, we return to your riad.

Day 5: Fez - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we begin our journey to Ifrane, the cool city dubbed the Switzerland of Morocco. We then visit the Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques. After lunch, we continue to Midelt, then continue our journey to Merzouga via the Tizi n’Telghmt Pass, where we enjoy panoramic views of the Ziz Valley. In the afternoon, we reach the Great Merzouga Desert, where we ride camels through the sandy desert. Finally, we transfer to the desert camp, where we enjoy dinner and an overnight stay under a clear, starry sky, with Berber drumming adding a magical atmosphere to the night.

Day 6: Explore the Merzouga region

Waking up early in the desert is a unique experience, offering a magical sunrise. After breakfast, we return to Merzouga on camels, where our driver is waiting for us. We explore the Merzouga region, which boasts sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, and excavation sites, as well as picturesque oases. We begin our journey with a visit to an ancient kohl mine, followed by a visit to Bedouins in their handwoven tents, where we learn about their lives over Berber tea. Afterwards, we head to the village of Khamlia, where we enjoy Gnawa music and dance performances. Free time for lunch at a restaurant, followed by a stroll through a palm grove. Afterwards, we drive to see the wild Merzouga Lake, also known as the Lake of the Flamingos. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

Day 7: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

After breakfast, we leave the desert and begin our journey to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalt. We explore its large and lively traditional souk, then continue to Erfoud, where we visit the petrified marble workshops. We then pass through the palm groves of Trouj and Tingdad to the narrow Todghi carvings, where the Todghi River runs, a huge red canyon on the edge of a cliff through the mountains. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. We then continue our journey to the Dades Valley, where we stop at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations, followed by a stop on a mountaintop overlooking the Dades Valley. Finally, we have dinner and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 8: Dades Valley - Valley of Roses - Skoura Palm Forest - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Benhaddou Telouet - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

After breakfast, we begin our journey to Kelaat M’Gouna to explore the Valley of the Roses, where the Rose Festival is held annually in May. We then pass through the palm groves of Skoura, where we enjoy the natural beauty. Next, we reach Ouarzazate, known as the Gateway to the Desert, where we visit the studios where famous films were shot. We then move on to the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We then continue our journey to Marrakech, passing through the Tizi-Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Free time for lunch and photo opportunities. Finally, we spend the night in a riad in Marrakech.

Day 9: Guided tour of Marrakech

After a hearty breakfast, we begin our exploration of the enchanting city of Marrakech with a local guide. We visit Bahia Palace, one of the city’s most prominent landmarks, then head to the Saadian Tombs, which boasts stunning architecture. Next, we visit the Ben Youssef Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Morocco. We then wander through the largest traditional market in Morocco, where we can buy some antiques and souvenirs. Free time for lunch near Jemaa el-Fna Square, then visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech. Finally, we head to the Majorelle Gardens, which boasts stunning natural and architectural beauty. We then transfer to your accommodation.

Day 10: Marrakech - Essaouira

After breakfast, we begin our journey to the coastal city of Essaouira, stopping along the way to observe argan trees and tree-climbing goats, and enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views. Upon arrival in Essaouira, we will explore the old city and fishing port, visiting the ancient walls that hold a rich history. We will stroll through the narrow streets of the old medina, learning about the city’s culture and diverse seafood cuisine. Finally, we will transfer to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in the beautiful city of Essaouira.

Day 11: Essaouira - Casablanca

On the last day of our Morocco expedition, we depart the beautiful city of Essaouira for Casablanca. We’ll drive along the coast, enjoying the stunning views and the Atlantic Ocean. We’ll make a few stops for photos and some fresh air. Finally, we arrive at Casablanca Airport, where our Morocco expedition ends.
