Next, you will visit Fez and Meknes, where you will enjoy the sights of both cities. Then, you will move on to Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, and the Cedar Forest. Your journey will continue to the Merzouga Desert, where you will ride camels and enjoy magical sunsets and sunrises. You will also explore the magnificent Todra and Dades Gorges. Next, you will travel to the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Gorge, where you will enjoy breathtaking landscapes. Finally, you will arrive in Marrakech, where you will visit the city’s sights, and then your journey will end in Casablanca.





- Morocco Itinerary: 10-Day Tour from Tangier
Day 1: Arrival in Tangier - Chefchaouen
On the first day of your trip to Morocco, we’ll start in Tangier, the beautiful city known as the Bride of the North. Our tour will depart from your accommodation or the airport, and we’ll visit the Cave of Hercules and Cape Spartel, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views. Next, we’ll move on to Chefchaouen, passing through Tetouan and the Rif Mountains. We’ll enjoy panoramic views along the way. Finally, we’ll arrive at your accommodation in Chefchaouen, where you’ll spend the night.
Day 2: Sightseeing tour of Chefchaouen, the Blue City
After breakfast, we will explore Chefchaouen, the beautiful Blue City, also known as “Achaouen.” Located in the Rif Mountains in northwest Morocco, the city is characterized by its blue and white buildings and alleyways. We will take a tour of the old city, where we will admire its beautiful authentic blue doors. There will be free time for lunch. In the afternoon, you can walk to the Spanish Mosque, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Blue City. Overnight at the hotel
Day 3: Chefchaouen - Volubilis Roman Ruins - Meknes - Fes
After breakfast, enjoy a stroll through Chefchaouen’s beautiful blue alleys. Then we’ll visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll admire the beautiful mosaics, columns, and magnificent antique arches. Next, we’ll move on to Meknes, one of the imperial cities, where we’ll visit Bab Mansour, the Basin of the Souani Cistern, the Royal Stables and Granary, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Finally, we’ll move on to Fez, where we’ll spend the night in a riad.
Day 4: Guided tour of Fez
After breakfast, we’ll begin exploring Fez, one of Morocco’s most ancient cities and cultural and religious centers. We’ll visit the gate of the Royal Palace, then enter the medieval medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We’ll explore the Blue Gate, or Bab Boujloud, which serves as the entrance to the medina. A guided tour will take you on a guided tour to explore the Bou Inania Medersa, the Nejjarine fountain and tanneries, and the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, the oldest university in the world. Next, we’ll visit the Jewish quarter, the Mellah, and then head to an ancient fortress for panoramic views of the city. Finally, we’ll return to your riad.
Day 5: Fez - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey through Morocco to Ifrane, known for its snow, low temperatures, and Alpine-style houses, earning it the nickname “Morocco’s Switzerland.” We’ll then visit the Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques, and you can feed them as you wander through the forest. Afterwards, we’ll move on to Midelt, where we’ll enjoy lunch. We’ll then continue our journey through the Tizi n’Telghmt Pass and along the Ziz Valley, stopping to enjoy the panoramic views. In the evening, we’ll reach the Great Merzouga Desert, where we’ll ride camels across the sandy desert, stopping at the top of a high sand dune to enjoy the sunset. Finally, we’ll arrive at the camp, where you can enjoy Berber drumming and dancing around a campfire under a clear, starry sky.
Day 6: Explore the Merzouga region - Khamlia - Merzouga Lake - Erg Chebbi - Palm Grove
After breakfast, we’ll explore the Merzouga region, home to stunning sites such as sand dunes, wild lakes, mines, and quarrying areas, as well as picturesque oases. We’ll begin our journey with an off-road drive to visit an ancient mine for the production of hyacinths. We’ll then visit Bedouins in their hand-woven tent and learn about their lives while sipping Berber tea. Next, we’ll drive to the village of Khamlia, where you can enjoy Gnaoua music and dance performances. There’ll be free time for lunch at a restaurant. We’ll then walk through a palm grove and head to the wild Merzouga lake to watch the flamingos. Finally, we’ll return to Merzouga, where we’ll spend the night at a hotel.
Day 7: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley
After an early morning wake-up, we will enjoy a beautiful sunrise in the desert. After breakfast, we will leave the desert and drive to Rissani, the ancient capital of the Tafilalt region. We will visit the Grand Souk of Rissani, a major trading center in the region. Next, we will continue to Erfoud, where we will visit a petrified marble workshop. We will then drive through the palm groves of Trouj and Tinejdad to reach the Todra Gorges, an ideal spot for rock climbers. There will be a free time for lunch at a restaurant. We will then continue our journey to the Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, where we will wait at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations, then at a mountaintop overlooking the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.
Day 8: Dades Valley - Valley of Roses - Ouarzazate - Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou - Telouet - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey to Kelaa M’Gouna to explore the Valley of the Roses, where the Rose Festival is held annually in May. We’ll pass through the palm groves of Skoura and visit the Kasbah of Amerdhil. We’ll then move on to Ouarzazate, where we’ll visit the famous film studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt. Next, we’ll visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed fortified village that has featured in numerous films and TV series. We’ll then visit the Kasbah of Telouet, before continuing our journey to Marrakech via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass and the High Atlas Mountains, stopping for lunch and photo opportunities at interesting sites. Overnight in the Kasbah.
Day 9: Guided tour of Marrakech
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll begin our exploration of Marrakech with a local guide. We’ll visit Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Mosque, and wander through Morocco’s largest traditional market. There’ll be free time for lunch near Jemaa el-Fna Square. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, and the Majorelle Gardens. Finally, we’ll transfer to your accommodation; don’t hesitate to enjoy a stroll around Jemaa el-Fna Square on your own.
Day 10: Casablanca Airport
After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech. We’ll then drive to Casablanca, where we’ll visit the Hassan II Mosque if time allows. Finally, we’ll transfer you to the airport, where your 10-day Moroccan vacation, which began in Tangier, will come to an end.
